Have you ever stopped to think about how your mindset around food impacts how you eat?

If you haven’t, let me tell you… your mindset around food IS THE ROOT of how you are with food.

In this week’s conversation with Victoria Evans we talked all about how mindset impacts how you eat. Victoria shares her own experience & story of going on a diet to feel “enough” and doing everything “right” but ending up more unhealthy than before & mentally at rock bottom.

Victoria Evans is a science-based intuitive eating coach and in this conversation, she helps unpack why we are the way we are with food & diets. We also talk a lot about emotions and emotional eating and why tapping into & feeling your emotions is so important. She gives some very practical tips if you struggle with emotional eating, which I think all of us could probably relate to on some extent!

One big takeaway that I had, personally, was the reminder that emotions aren't out to harm us. But, because emotions are uncomfortable our bodies want to "fight or flight"... and for you, maybe you "flight" to food to feel safe and secure instead of the hard work of feeling your emotions.

I can’t wait for you to listen!

Here’s a peak at our conversation…

“Emotions are meant to be experienced. We’re supposed to feel both positive and negative. It’s this contrast of life that allows us to experience life to the fullest.”

“If we’re constantly trying to avoid negative emotions, we’re avoiding the human experience.”

“The more we allow ourselves to experience all emotions, the easier it gets over time.”

“Whatever we tell ourselves to focus on is what we create more of in our lives.”

“It’s incredible how your whole world opens up when no longer your whole world is about trying to shrink yourself.”
