Have you ever thought about how your brain influences your relationship with food and yourself?

This week on The Embracing Balance Podcast I had the amazing opportunity to talk with Alyssa Chang, health coach specializing in neuroscience and how it influences how we interact with ourselves, all about how she uses neuroscience to help women befriend and trust their bodies.

A few things we talked about were…

  1. How she got into this work and her own story of sports, dieting, and figure competitions, and how she got to a point where she realized that all of the things she had been told would make her healthy were actually making her feel unhealthy.

  2. How neuroscience plays a role in our relationship with our bodies and how understanding how our brain works can help deepen the relationship we have with ourselves.

  3. How to identify stressors in your life and how to manage those stressors

  4. The power of our breath with our relationship with ourselves and utilizing it to help us with stress.

  5. What a “threat bucket” is and how to identify our own body threats.

I learned so much, myself, from this conversation and I can’t wait for you to hear from Alyssa and learn from her.
