My Favorite At Home Body-Positive Workouts!

I know how challenging it can be to find movement you love without all the diet-y and negative body talk. It seems every gym or fitness program out there comes backed with messages about having to change your body. But no worries if you've felt discouraged...I've rounded up my favorite body-positive workouts (and bonus, they are all able to be done in the comfort and convenience of your living room).*by the way, none of these are sponsored, they are simply my genuine recommendations :)

1. BARRE 3 (online & in person)

Barre3 is a fitness brand of barre movement that comes with a different message than most barre studios I've encountered. Their mission is to teach people to be balanced in body and empowered from within and every class really portrays this mission. Everything from the instructor's messaging and prompts during class to tune into your body, trust your body, and breathe deeply encourage a deeper relationship with yourself through movement.If you've never done a barre3 workout, you can expect every class to feel well balanced in strength conditioning, cardio, and mindfulness. Whenever I take a class with them either in person or online I always find myself feeling so grounded and good in my body.I'm personally biased to Barre3 having been an instructor, myself, but I can't speak highly enough about this company and what they offer.Barre3 gives you the option to try out their online platform consisting of hundreds of workouts anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour for free for the first 15 days. 2. UNMEASURED

Unmeasured is another great online barre subscription platform created and taught by Simi Botic. Every workout is created to instill a joy-filled and healthy relationship with movement and comes with messages for a positive body image, self-esteem, and body acceptance. Membership gives you access to a library of past classes and new classes added weekly.

3. UNSHAKEN YOGA 

Unshaken yoga is a faith-based Christian yoga platform (and more at I Stand Unshaken) all with a positive message about body connection and gratitude. Every year they host a "gratitude challenge" that incorporates so much more than just movement into your routine.

There are a lot of yoga routines available for free on youtube as well as they have a paid membership platform that includes yoga and more.

4. YOGA WITH ADRIAN

Yoga With Adrian has a lot of free yoga routines available on YouTube, all with positive messages as well as some humor. I've always found these routines to be fun and enjoyable and just a great way to center both mentally as well as physically.

5. FITNESS BLENDER

Fitness Blender is a platform that has a lot of free options for all types of workouts...HIIT, CARDIO, INTERVAL, PILATES, YOGA, etc. And one thing I appreciate is that I've never heard them talk about working out to change your body. It's simply a good workout and time moving your body. I also really appreciate the amount of free workouts they offer. Though I wouldn't say there is as much that really helps work on the inner connection with your body as the others, it is still so refreshing to see the "realness" that the instructors portray as they lead the workout.
